How do I create a new hackathon?
Navigate to your Organizer Dashboard and click 'Create New Event'. You'll be guided through our setup wizard to define your timeline, rules, and prize pools.
Is Hackoryx free for participants?
Yes! Participating in hackathons on Hackoryx is 100% free for developers, designers, and builders.
How does the team formation system work?
Once you register for an event, you can visit the 'Teammates' tab to browse other participants looking for a team. You can send requests or accept invitations directly through the platform.
Can I host a private, invite-only hackathon?
Absolutely. When configuring your event settings, you can toggle the visibility to 'Private' and invite participants via secure email links.
What happens if I submit my project after the deadline?
Submissions are strictly locked at the exact deadline dictated by the organizer. We recommend submitting at least an hour early to avoid any last-minute network issues.
How do I receive my prize money if my team wins?
Prize distribution is handled directly by the event organizers. Hackoryx facilitates the communication, but you will typically need to provide your payment details (e.g., PayPal, wire transfer) to the organizer once the results are announced.
Are there any intellectual property (IP) restrictions on my project?
By default, builders retain 100% ownership of their intellectual property. However, some corporate hackathons may have specific IP clauses in their rules. Always read the 'Rules & Requirements' tab before registering for an event.
Can I participate in multiple hackathons simultaneously?
Yes, you can register for and participate in as many concurrent events as you can handle. Your registered events will be cleanly separated in your Participant Dashboard.
Can I edit my submission after I have submitted it?
Yes, you can edit your submission details, update links, and change team members at any time before the final submission deadline. Once the deadline hits, all submissions are locked.
